Hi,

I have the newest C4D version and downloaded the newest Corona release. Everything was working fine until I got a low on memory error while rendering a scene. I stopped the rendering, closed down cinema, unnecessary applications to free some ram and proceeded to render the scene again. This time all of the materials rendered black. I made a new project, created a cube, new corona material as white and applied it to the cube. Even in a new project the applied material renders out fully black. I don't know how to fix it.

How much memory do you have? Also, have you tried simply rebooting your machine?

Do you have Corona set as your renderer in the render settings? This seems like an output from the C4D's standard renderer

16gb 3200, it's a tiny scene with nearly nothing in it. That was yesterday, rebooted the machine many times since then.

Yes I do. For that scene if I open the corona renderer it shows the exact same thing. For this cube if I open the renderer and press render it just opens the standard renderer.

That is strange... Could you send us the scene?

I've attached the room scene and just the cube with a plain Corona material.

The cube scene renders just fine for me (after I made the default renderer to Corona). The room scene renders black because the textures/paths are missing. When you save the scene, choose save 'project with assets'. Otherwise, others will get the same result.

So I reasigned the directories of the textures and now it renders out in colour, thank you! However in a new project like the cube when I apply a corona material and proceed to open the VFB, after pressing Render it just opens the picture viewer. Pressing interactive renderer works though so I should be alright from now on. Thanks again!

"Corona Renderer for Cinema 4D - General" seems like the section to me. ;)

Edit: I see it was moved ;)

In Cinema's preference settings, go to the Corona tab (at the bottom) you can choose if you want it to render to the PV or VFB as default. Hope that helps.
