Id love to be able to continue working on my pc whilst im rendering on DR. Would it be possible to DR without using the host pc for rendering? Just rendering on the nodes and only using the host pc to compile the image?
It would boost productivity more than probably any feature i could imagine being implemented being able to work whilst rendering.

Backburner job with nodes assigned. What's the problem?

Good Luck

Never underestimate the power of a well placed level one spell.

Yes. You could even include your workstation as DR node and if your local DR server is up, it would contribute. And it would not when not :) If your local DR server is down when the job is in the BB queue - no problem: start it up, and it will join the jobs where it is listed as dr slave ("Search LAN during render" would also be possible to use but it has bugs in V3 when multiple instances of max are used).

You could even use 50% of your workstation to let it render DR (as slave) while doing modelling jobs for example by setting the affinity of the dr max instance in taksmanager.

Good Luck
