Hey, everyone.

I'm having an issue where when I apply a texture to the hair object, the texture maps along each hair individually instead of all of them. I want the hair to match the texture applied to the model

Hi there, I'm assuming you have generated the hair to a mesh? The only way I can think of is to apply the texture projection as shrink wrapping or something else other than UVW mapping. Perhaps others have a better solution here?

Yes, my hair is set to a mesh. The guide for rendering hair on the corona website said that i was to do so because does not support the standard hair material. I've tried fixing my issue already in the standard renderer and it still persists. The texture works properly on the hair when there is no mesh generation. I think the only way the issue could be fixed is if I wait for the standard hair material to be supported by corona.

Hi, since that article was written we have released a dedicated Corona hair shader that works in conjunction with Cinema's hair shader (I'm actually in the process of updating that guide). Both shader tags are needed to be applied to the hair object. This now allows you to control the hairs curl, thickness and frizz etc without the need of making geometry. With that said however, texture support is not yet fully implemented.
