The list of resellers is at https://corona-renderer.com/prices-licensing/resellers - though this may take a day or two to catch up with any resellers added and approved very recently.

Well, worse than that, they are not an authorized reseller - they shouldn't be selling Corona at all.

This thread is identical to one from two years back, word for word letter for letter posted by arqrenderz. Curious. https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=12729.0
Just out of interest Tom, why are resellers necessary if people can buy online direct from you guys? Ive always wondered.

Yes, spotted that a) The text is identical (so this is probably a bot) and b) There's no sign on the web of XSystem these days.

Resellers are particularly useful for some countries, where people can only purchase from a company that runs from within their country - in those cases, without a reseller, people wouldn't be able to get Corona at all. Other than that, they are useful for purchasers who have a history of buying from the reseller (so they may discover Corona on there, while they would not have run across it otherwise - so that just extends the reach and promotion of Corona).

EDIT - in some countries, it's a restriction for all businesses in their country that they can only buy from a company in their country; for other places, certain organizations may have that as a rule just for themselves (most likely educational and Government organizations, for example).

Makes sense now! Thanks for clarifying.

Most welcome! At least something useful came of this thread, even if it was started by a bot ;)

- resellers change merchant on record - you pay money to different company. You might get different payment terms (e.g. wire transfer which we do not allow, paying at the end of month instead of time of purchase), or you might just need to pay company in your own country instead of foreign for reasons
- some big companies and government institutions are just using 1 reseller as one-stop-shop for any software they need. We started doing the same with buying hardware - you pay extra for the service, but it is much easier than handling 50 different webshops (I am not exaggerating here, we used/are using at least 50 different software/services in the company).
- resellers can have shops translated to languages we do not support
- resellers might have some added value such as support, although I am not aware of any

But generally if you do not work in corporate environment and have no issues with buying from our english shop, you have no reason to use resellers...
