I am trying to batch edit my .exr renders using the script that is provided on this website. I managed to make the script running, however, it keeps asking for a corona licence. I am using the latest Beta version for C4D. The licence is activated via C4D (e.g. Corona is working there), and the Image Editor is working as well. The issue is only when I try to run the batch script. I also tried to download and unzip version for 3Ds Max.
Am I doing something wrong?

The message I get is:
Error: Failed to find a valid Corona Image Editor license. Please run the GUI version of this application and activate your license there.

Please read the help for the editor. The appropriate part of the help can be printed out by using one of the --help, --list-properties, or --list-examples arguments.
Processing C:\Users\...\xxxx.exr

Hi, So this is happening before or after you downloaded the Max version? Also, can you point me to the script?

It is happening after downloading Max version. First I tried it just with the corona version I had for my C4D and it didn't work (when I double clicked on the .bat file, the command window just opened for 0,5sec and then closed with no result at all). So, I tried Max version which gives me the licence error.
I downloaded the script here: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/12000030886

In the meanwhile, I had to find a temporary solution. If anyone was wondering, I used Automator on Mac, recorded an action "Watch me do", then recorded all steps - In the Editor, I opened image, loaded the settings, then saved as png. The action I recorded is now "playing" and doing all manual steps for me, it still takes a lot of time to finish, but still better then doing all this manually, for every single frame.

So are you using Mac or Windows? Is it possible to run a .bat file on Mac?

If it's Windows, here is what you can try:
1) Uninstall all versions of Corona (from the Windows "Programs and Features")
2) Install only the free C4D version of Corona + Corona Image Editor
3) Clear all licensing files (see point 3 here: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/12000015667)
4) Start Corona for C4D, start the Corona Image Editor and make sure both are working fine (no licensing errors)
5) Download the batch editing script, but before running it, make sure that it uses the free C4D version of CIE:
If you edit the CoronaImageBatch.bat file, you will see these lines:
Code: [Select]
:: Sets a path to the command-line version of the editor which is being used
:: for processing images. Usually there is no need to change this.
set editorExecutable=C:\Program Files\Corona\CoronaImageCmd.exe
Make sure that the path is leading to the free C4D version of CIE.

Let me know how that worked.

Hi maru, I am using primarly Mac, but also have a Windows PC where I tried the batch script. BAT files can't be run on Mac.

Thanks for the suggestions. I followed all steps but it returned the exact same message. The only version of Corona I have on the Windows PC right now is version for C4D.

Hi Krisp, sorry for the delay. Did you eventually manage to get CIE and the script running, or is the licensing error still blocking you?
