This is a personal project I started and almost finished, a year ago. It took me many months to finally model the helmet, all the rest was already done. Using Megascans and learning Marvellous Designer was the starting point of this project. Creating clothes in MD was fun and it was kind of weird I started to notice different sewing patterns on the street.
The boys are inspired by Piotr Jabłoński´s Tomcat series which I´ve enjoyed for a long time. All his work is pure inspiration.
I´ve named this project "Silence I" hoping there will be more images with them wandering boys making it a series. Actually, another one is already in the making and I can tell, the boys are getting away from this cold place.
I rendered it in 8K and you can see some cropped images on https://www.behance.net/AndresSaarnak

Beautiful!  I think you should replace the clouds with just the fog, have it all grey.  Like the scene from the latest mad Max film when they are driving through the swamp lands.  Just a thought.  Very nice work, I love the tree textures!

I used an overcast HDRI, I think it was from CG-Source. Corona fog gave most of the atmosphere. I used one of Dubcats LUTs, which he shares on his forum topic. These work great and not much photoshop was needed. It was hard to resist a warmer white balance, which looked nice. My initial idea was to create a somewhat cold place and it took some time in photoshop to decide between cold and warm tones. Photoshop makes me so indecisive :D.

The sky was one thing I added in photoshop and you are absolutely right, it was better with just a fog. I don´t know how I ended up with a sky, which looks quite sunny actually :(
