DR Server - Any way to read data from it with other software?

Hi

I want to write a little piece of software just as a c# learning project and im wondering if there is any way to programmatically read what file is being rendered/what user is using that node?
Just going to build myself a tiny renderfarm manager for stuff like restarting nodes / backburner server and any other little tasks i might think up.
