Using Version: B2 daily Aug 15 2018 (core 3 (DailyBuild Aug 15 2018))  C4d R18.057 Windows 10 64gb ram

Proxies created in 3ds max will import but have no textures (other people have mentioned this but it was supposed to be fixed in an earlier build?). Tried putting the textures in various locations to see if it would find them, no joy.

Proxies created in c4d using the "pick from scene" button fail with a "Loading failed due to memory error" message. This is just starting from a blank scene, creating any 3d object, converting to editable mesh first, and using pick from scene. It creates a cgeo file but that file cannot be loaded. Out of curiosity I tried loading that proxy back into max and it doesn't work in there either.

Hi, thanks for letting us know. I can also confirm the error due to memory issue. We'll try and have this looked at as soon as we can.

Out of interest, are you able to send me your scene file and proxy to our private uploader? The link is in my signature below.

Thanks

uploaded as 1536065226_proxy-test.zip

In the process of making those test scenes, I realised the proxy issue might actually be with 3ds max as well. If you load that proxy back into a blank, reset scene in max, materials/textures are also missing. It only works when you have the original material still loaded in the material editor. I will go and post the same thing to the max forum :) - but this is probably something you'll have to get together to work out? FYI am using one of the latest daily builds for 3ds max corona v3 (DailyBuild Aug 16 2018)

BTW, note also the proxy loads in c4d flipped on the X-axis.

Well I was able to load a max proxy into c4d but not the other way around.

Indeed - I can get that far too. But as you can see, textures don't work, and the model is flipped horizontally.

You can't make proxies in c4d either (but that is a separate problem)
