Hello All!
Just got into Corona and have a few questions.

1.I have noticed MANY times that materials do not show all the time in the viewport. Sometimes they show as black other times they show as random colors. They look fine In the interactive render window, but not in my viewport work space.

2. Every object textured with a material and an alpha image the material below always shows as black in the viewport.

I attached images for reference.

Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks!

This als0 happens for me when using corona.

Mac Pro, C4D R19, Corona beta 1.

any sort of glass or alpha image shows as pure black in the viewport, and sometime bitmap images loaded into the diffuse channel shows as black also.
It's quite annoying when sat with a client and they see half the scene as black objects

In some cases, refreshing the override preview preferences can fix materials not displaying properly. From memory, this has been brought up in the past. Materials showing black when refraction is activated is also a known thing (ie: no diffuse used). As far as I'm aware it has always been that way. If a material doesn't have the diffuse channel activated, it will surely be shown as black.

Thanks guys for letting me know. This is quite annoying, and would think would be an easy fix. I will keep digging around and maybe can find a solution.

"Reload texture" solves the problem but I agree it's annoying.
