Moving to corona 2 mid-project

Hi all,

I'm new to Corona and still on my 45 day evaluation of version 1.7. I'm currently nearing the end of my first project with it but want to buy and upgrade to Corona 2.

Should I wait until this project is completed before upgrading, or are things stable enough that I shouldn't expect any potential issues with upgrading while I still have an active project running?

Any advice appreciated.

If i am not mistaken all new version of corona have extended 15days of trial period for testing, so you can upgrade it now and test two weeks, if you have trouble with trial, you may contact to support team

I'm not worried about the period - I still have 12 days left anyway.

My query related to the actual transferring of my (on-going) scene from corona 1.7 to version 2... mid-project.

I'm sure it's fine. I'm just wondering if its advised against doing though.

Generally it is safe to switch to new version, but i wouldn't recommend to do it in the middle of important project - you might find difficult to switch back if something will go wrong. However you can still buy Corona and use an older version, untill you finish your project.

I switched to 2 mid-project and experienced zero problems, with nearly identical renders between 1.7 and 2.  You should be good to go, in my opinion.

Friend, it's not because YOU didn't have any troubles in YOUR projects, that he/she won't.

Romullus is right, just don't switch this project if there isn't anyhthing extra you might use, copy past the file when done and save a new file for the new corona version and see then if you are good to go or not.

Kudos to the development team, I don't THINK you'll have problems. But if you do, reverting is a pain in the ass, if it's even possible.

EXTRA: I just saw they added 14 extra days if you switched to the 2 version, to your trial.

So mayby if you can finish the project before your trial ends, install the 2 version and get an extra 14 days to try it out.
