Im doing alot of work with decals at the moment and ideally id like to turn off shadows from my object being cast on the material underneath.
Ive turned off shadows in object properties but it still casts im assuming because its something to do with the transparency?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Use rayswitch with empty GI slot?
Can you show an example of what you are doing and the result you are getting?
Disabling the cast shadows option from object properties should do what it says... Maybe what you see is a reflection?

I cant replicate it reliably.
I just made an empty scene with a cube and a plane and i applied an opacity map to the plane. It cast a shadow but the shadow was sort of odd. It kind of disappeared halfway down the object. I cant replicate it again but it seems to happen intermittently. next time it happens ill make sure i screenshot it.
