Hello Guys!

I have used Corona a little bit to render interiors and I recently wanted to render animations where objects are moving as well as camera is zooming in and out
I used Animation(Flicker Free) in the Secondary UHD Cache menu and I render the whole animation in PNG sequence
But when I render it I see weird results for different frames

This is the render for frame 1 of the animation where you can see there are 2 doors/objects which are very close to each other

This is the render of frame 21 where the 2 doors/objects have been separated but it renders weirdly as if its not able to calculate where the objects are

Basically the animation is that the camera is zooming in while these 2 doors are getting separated from each other

Is this a bug or I am doing something wrong?

Hi, I would say that it isn't a prob with the animated doors, it like your zoom causes those probs. You can see the stepping effect all over the image.
Did you use the zoom function or just moved the cam?
If you used the zoom function, try to recreate that with a moving cam as a work around. Maybe that helps.

Cheers...

Haven't done that but I have watched a video from Corona where they say that you don't need to have UHD Cache saved for an animation in which objects are moving so just keep it as discard so which means Corona should be able to render animations having objects moving

Maybe I should try just the objects moving and not the camera

Are you using motion blur?

If you can upload the scene to our private uploader we can take a look.

Thanks for the file. I have been looking at it today and haven't been able to reproduce the issue you are having. I tested the scene on 2 PC's using R18 & R19 and both seem to render as they should. The example attached is frame 21 and I also added motion blur (just to check).

Works here too, rendered both the single frame 21, and frames 0 to 21.

Which version of Corona are you using, and which version of Cinema 4D? I am using the latest daily build, in R19.

I also notice the V-Ray Bridge is there and enabled - I didn't disable it, but I also don't have V-Ray installed for C4D.

Cool! Why does it happen then? We would like to know, so that we can fix it if it's a problem on the side of Corona for C4D

Can you go into detail what the issue was regardless of not being Corona related? This can always help fellow users if it arises again. ;)
