Im pretty sure this is a similar issue as was discussed in this thread: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=19356.0 however, i'll post the offending scene file in case it is useful to trying to optimize your IR code.

When i open the IR with this scene, it goes into an endless loop of "recalculating geometry". Sometimes it will eventually resolve. Mostly, though, cinema locks up or completely crashes.

OSX 10.11.6

To reproduce, simply open the scene and start the IR

Well if that tension tag isn't being used, try deleting that. Keep us posted ;)

Here is a slightly simplified version. The setup doesn't quite do what its supposed to this way, but the IPR still loops on startup.

Still looks like the tension tag is the problem, if you run the IR and delete that tag it renders as it should. I think it will take some looking into.
