Hello,

i have a big issue with the shadow catcher material in Cinema 4D. I have set an hdri as my main lighting source on a sky object. My Object (car) is put into the scene and for the shadows I inserted a plane with the assigned shadow catcher material on it. Everything works fine until I use DOF because the DOF works on the SCMat with the same amount as on the hdri, so that the picture looks unnatural, because at the distance of the focus point the plane should be sharp too. The problem is, this only happens, if I use spherical or cubic as mapping option. If I use frontal, than everything works fine, instead of the projection. The projection on the plane does not match with the hdri.

Hi,

Is your scene to scale? Are you able to share the scene at all for us to look at?

I uploaded the scene file. I don't think it is a matter of scale.
