I don't know if that was mentioned before, just an idea...

When you zoom in interactive in 2D Pan Zoom Mode -for example for fine tuning your floor- at the top bar of the VBF you would get an estimated resolution number that you need in the final render to get that level of detail. according to your image ratio

I hope it makes sense
