Evening!

This might not be the right category to post in so sorry if it's not.

I'm searching for a natural buff sandstone texture and can't for the life of me find what I'm looking for!

I've attached various image references. The closest is image 5, whilst 1 to 3 are what the client has sent as a reference.

So far I've searched textures.com, rd-textures, poliigon and a few other sites.

Incidentally, other than cgarchitects I wouldn't know where else to ask for general questions like this. Are there other communities I'm blissfully ignorant of?

Thanks in advance,

Greg

Seems like something you could achieve with substance designer or some very clever use of AO, procedural maps, masking and the tile material in 3ds max although im not sure if the tile material applies textures per tile or to the entire map.

Thanks for your responses guys! I didn't get any email notifications about replies so didn't think to check back until now.

I ended up actually finding a texture on textures.com (brickfacade00046) and then tweaking the levels/hue to fit. There was too much variation on the original so I spent some time adjusting to suit. I then doubled the canvas and added more variation to it and I'm semi-happy with the results!

Thanks Sprayer for making that texture! If it turns out the client was a more uniform stonework I'll use yours!

I've attached the before and after with the brick I used if anyone's interested!
