Hi,

We updated all our waorkstations and nodes a couple of days ago to 1.7.3 and everything was fine until we rendered a set of images using the 8 nodes here.

All of the elements saved out as just some weird looking lines and dots. See attached.

Whilst it looks pretty cool and artistic it is clearly not correct.

When the images are rendering they look fine in the frame buffer so it must be when they are saved out?

The images were saved as exrs and distributed rendering was used.

Anyone else seen this before?

Thanks.

In a quick test (interior scene, no render elements so beauty only as not sure what render elements were being used, using Corona DR directly, saving to EXR on render completion from the Max Save File settings, to Half Float 16 bit EXR RGB no alpha, Denoising was used, tested in Corona 1.7.3 and in Corona 2 latest daily, opened using Exr-IO in Photoshop) , have not been able to replicate this - but would need a lot more info about your particular situation.

- What render elements were being used?

- By DR, do you mean Corona DR used directly? (rather than Backburner, or Corona DR submitted through Backburner)

- When saving to EXR, was this from the Max save dialog so that it saved automatically on render completion, or manually saved from the VFB? What settings did you use to save the EXR (bit depth etc)

- How did you open the EXR to inspect it after completion?

- Does this happen if you render locally without using DR (in case it is simply the saving to EXR that is causing the problem, and the DR is not playing a part in this result)

Thanks!
