Hi All - I have a small feature request which I think could be really useful. The denoise feature can be great but sometimes it can be a little harsh on quick renders. Would it be possible to have an override within every material so that you could specify to override the denoise? For example on a fabric, it would great to retain the detail as the noise isn't an issue and for white wall increase the denoise. I'm not sure what people think to this and if it would be worth doing?

I think that what you are suggesting adds unnecessary complexity.

You can easily save two CShading_Beauty render elements one with Denoise amount 0.0 and one with Denoise amount 1.0. You can then blend them via a painted custom mask or with a CMasking_Mask render element.

The latest dailies also improve upon this tech to better preserve bump mapping (so they're more graceful towards fabric and alike). That and post compositing areas manually.

Yup, I'm also against this idea.
-unnecessary checkbox/override
-what if you forget to enable denoising for the material back?
