Hi Guys

Modeling is not my strongest attribute and being a newbie does not help either
Can anyone please assist with the following

I need to do a bathroom render and the client can only provide 3ds models
When I import them they look nice enough but when you render they appear edgy
I have googled and tried smoothing modifier but it does not seem to help

I have attached an image showing how the model currently looks rendered

How can I get the 3ds file's mesh nice and smooth , without remodeling the whole process ( I just don't know how to )
Any help is highly appreciated guys : )

I would try with:
-"smooth" modifier, then playing around with the angle value
-convert to > editable poly > select all faces > press "retriangulate" button
-also make sure that all vertices are welded (that each face is not a separate mesh element)
