Hello :)

A little question about smoothing network deployment, when a new release / hotfix is out, or even for daily builds quick testing.
Our network setup relies on the [Include] trick in Plugin.ini, so that every machine (workstations, rendernodes) loads a set of plugins in one common folder on the server. Since Corona installer allows to uncompress components in a folder, instead of installing them directly in the host application, I was wondering which ones could be simply copied in our shared folder to get every machines updated with the same Corona version ?
I think we can forget scripts (mostly for workstation I guess), but Corona20XX.dlr and CoronaUtils20XX.dlt apart, are there any other files that changes from build to build ? DrServer.exe for example ?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Regards.

You could use/modifiy the Batch-Script from this thread...

Remote Execution can be done with PSEXEC from the pstools

wow thank you twcg ! That's a long time I want to give Windows batch commands a try ... but I'm sure I can do everything here, permissions and stuff like that, that would require our IT's approval. That's why I'd rather rely on shared plugin location, simple & easy, I can do what I want without asking anything to anyone :)
Anyway, I'll try your solution ASAP, I guess this is the most "academical" way of doing things.

Thanks again for sharing.

Ok, it seems I'll have to postpone batch commands testing a bit, so I'd still like to know which files could be simply copied in our shared folder to get every machines updated with the same Corona version ? faster and easier for me so far, so ... Corona20XX.dlr and CoronaUtils20XX.dlt apart, are there any other files that changes from build to build ? DrServer.exe for example ?

Thanks a lot.
