The texture in the Object Manager and Viewport disappears after closing and open the file.
It is an importmesh. You can test it.

The problem is solved:
I have to to give a new name to the selection, and assign the new texture. Than it works.
This only can happen with import other models.

Hi Flamingo,

thank you for the bug report. This problem must be connected to changes in texture cache code in the latest daily build. I successfully reproduced the bug, and I will try to fix it for today's daily build.

Best regards
Nikola

I tested it more, and I noticed that your "Material" property in the "Texture Tag" is animated and you don't have Autokeying enabled in your scene. So when you assign the material into "Material" property, it is not recorded for the active keyframe, and this is the reason why the material is not assigned when you open the scene again.
