Hi,

First try I am trying to use rebus farm with corona 1.7 it says it can't find  HdCache.hdc. I have never had this error with 1.6, and I didn't touch any of these settings here.

Anyone has a cule?

Yes, and if you open the asset tracker, you'll se that it's missing in max too. So it seems to be somehow a "build in" missing asset in Corona.

I haven't been able to locate it nor delete/remove it from the asset tracker. Is this a bug?

Is this some very old scene re-rendered with 1.7?
For me:
1) The path is empty by default
2) The file is not there in the asset tracker
3) The file extension is .uhd

I guess just saving a correct .uhd file in a valid location might solve this.

Hi Maru. Your question: "Is this some very old scene re-rendered with 1.7?" made me think of a reason and solution.

I'm using a customized maxstart-file, that actually could contain old Corna references. So this is what I did to get rid of the *.hdc reference:

- restarted Max, to be sure the maxstart file was loaded (checked the assettracker to see if the *.hdc was missing - it was)
- changed the render from Corona to Mental Ray
- saved this as "maxstart"
- restarted Max, to be sure the maxstart file was loaded (checked the assettracker to see if the *.hdc still was reported missing - it was NOT)
- changed the render from Mental Ray to Corona, and made my own settings
- saved this as "maxstart"

Now everything is nice and clean :) :)

Regards

Now that you were saying, the scene was started by a friend who was using 1.6 . I replaced the missing HdCache.hdc in asset tracking with a random .jpg just to trick rebus and it worked.

Just opened an old file with this missing hdc message. Render was set PT + PT, but when switching to UHD I found the name of the missing file in the UHD file settings. So I activated "load UHD", deleted the name, switched back to PT, and saved the max-file. Now there's no more missing hdc-file message.
