Hi everyone,
I recently installed Corona on all of my render nodes, tot. 5 ( Corona 1.6.3 & 3Dsmax 2017). When I launch the render the main computer is going very well but my nodes are really slow. After some time I have only 4-6 passes from nodes and some of them are not doing the passes at all although they results all connected and with green lights in DR tab.
I have read many threads on this forum but I have no solution. By the way Corona and 3ds max versions are the same on all nodes and all paths are UNC.
All comps have a 5820k cpu.
Any suggestion?

Hi,

-What happens if you start local rendering (without DR) on any of the nodes? Are they rendering with expected speed?
-Is this happening in any scene (even very simple), or only in one specific scene?
-Are you using some 3rd party plugins in your scene? There was a similar report, where updating Siger plugins to the newest versions solved it: https://www.sigershop.eu/free-3ds-max-plugins/

Hi,
- I'll try this option today
- I'm new to Corona and this was one of first works so I don't know. This morning I tried to render another scene, much simplier and in effect the result was better (workstation: 100 passes / tot. nodes: 50 passes).
- No scripts in the scene, just materials and lights.

I would like to know why the total number of render nodes are giving me the half of passes, in theory they would give me the same as workstaion.

Hi, is this still actual?
Have you tried using Corona Renderer 1.7?

Hi maru,
I just wanted to update the message. With 1.7 we resolved the problem, in effect now the slaves works much better but on the high resolution renderings (4-5000 px) they doesn't start. On the lower resolution (2000 px) they works very well.

Maybe your nodes are running out of RAM? Are you getting the "system low on RAM" warnings from Corona?

Other than that, you can try Corona Renderer 1.7 Hotfix 1: https://corona-renderer.com/download/
Let us know if there is any improvement when using this version.

Is there still a problem with passes rendered or nodes not starting in higher resolution?
Have you tried with Corona Renderer 1.7 hotfix 2?
