Hello.
Some time ago I decided to start to make small projects with a purpose of improving of my 3d skills, such as modeling, sculpting, uv unwrapping shading, etc.
Here I will share results of my experiments. Any comments, suggestions, feedback and information are welcome.

Here is my first attempt to make a more complex metal shader than usual. Still not perfect, but i decided to leave it as it is for this time.
Bird are modeled in 3ds max. Just in purpose of a subd modeling practise.

I used 3ds max noise in bump to simulate bronze casting imperfections. For overall reflection glossiness of bronze I used simple dirt map in reflection glossy slot. For small circular scratches that can be noticed around bright spots, I used layered material with a several layers of scratches normal bump maps. I also added some dirt with another layer and a little bit of patina with AO map with a dirt map in AO radius.

Yes! I like his sculptures. They are good for me for modeling and for visualisation practise, mostly for a modeling. I almost don't know how to model at all. Every time i struggle with finding a right mesh topology and learn a lot every time i model a new sculpture.

Funky, simple project but I like how you executed it properly into details. Nice material treatment

Thank you. I can spend very little time for this works, so I try to keep them as simple as I can, and make them as fast as I can.
All I really can do for now is just add some small details in attempt to make these pictures live.
