Hello C4D Community,

when I activate Viewport Selection (General Settings) and my geometry, that has to be changed with another material, changing the material, and start render, the whole image starts from the begining to render and not only the changed object or material.
Ist this a bug, or do I something wrong?

Rendering using Viewport Selection is not currently active. I will have to leave it to the devs as to when and if that might be enabled, just to confirm that it does not work at present so you know you are not doing anything wrong.

It were nice and less confusing if non-active features would be greyed out and only selectable after implementation.

Well it may be a bug, and it is meant to be working :) Only the developers can say for sure - I just wanted to let the original poster know that the functionality, by design or bug, is not currently active, so that they didn't keep looking for ways to make it work.

https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,15819.msg100073.html#msg100073 made me believe that there are some spots in Corona for C4D where future features are already implemented into the GUI but not yet working.

Thank you for the posts.
I think the idea for non-active features to grey out is a very good idea, because it is a bit frustating, to test, looking in the forum, spend a lot of time and so on, without any result.
This feature of Viewport selection ist very very useful and a brilliant idea.
I do like Corona very much.

It does make sense to grey-out features that don't work yet. This situation only happened, because we wanted to finalize the UI before making shots of it and thus we included even planned features that might not fully work yet. We'll think about greying the non-functional stuff out...
