Hi guys,
in a scene where I had several cameras I noticed, that when I copy a Corona Camera Tag that there are some attributes that aren't copied with the tag, but instead are overriden by the cameras settings in Object & Physical tab.

Lets say I have two cameras. Camera 1 has a shutter speed of 1/500 and Camera 2 1/300. If I like Camera 1 settings the best and I copy the tag over to Camera 2, then Camera 2 will still have a shutter of 1/300, because in the Physical tab the 1/300 remained from before and apparently overwrites the information in the tag.

I don't know if this behaviour is intended, but at least for me it is not the way I expected it to work.

Kind Regards

Hi!

The shutter speed value in the Camera Tag is taken from the Camera object itself and if you change the value in the tag, it changes the value in the camera too. In other words, the tag only shows you the shutter speed of the object. So if you copy the tag to a different camera, logically it shows that camera's shutter speed. I admit that it's not super-intuitive, but it's the best solution that we came up with. If you have any ideas how to make it clearer, we will be more than happy to hear them!

Once you apply your Corona Camera Tag and start tweaking the values there, you don't use the other tabs anymore I think. You're only focussed on what is inside the tag, which is why I found it confusing at first, that this didn't seem to work. In my opinion it would be better if the value in the tag drives/overwrites the attributes on the object itself if possible. But I can see that this might be a choice of taste and if you are aware of the behaviour it is certainly not a bug. :)
But as I said - because you tweak your settings 99% in the tag it took me a while to figure out what was going on, because I completely ignored the other tabs (I have never even worked with C4Ds PR before, so I don't use these settings ever). Also it would certainly make it easier to copy all settings from one camera to another. Now you need to tweak those settings manually.
