I understand the behavior of corona remembering VFB regions when opening and closing a file changed in 1.6

It would be nice to have a system setting to toggle this on or off, it was handy in 1.5.2 being able to region render in IR for testing and not having to worry about that region carrying over to our networked final renders if we reopened the file later.

we are not planning to add this as it would unnecessarily complicate things. I suggest doing a maxscript check instead

Where should I look for resources on making such a maxscript?

To be honest, at the very least I think it should produce a warning when you network submit. I hate to bring this up, but one of the best things about corona vs vray is the very small number of "oh shit I forgot to check that setting" when you send off renders, it's a shame to see one slip in.
