Hi all,

I'm looking to have fire on my scene.
I'm using a photo with opacity on a plane.

It seems that, no matter what exposure I have, I can't make it look on the rendering the same way as the photo.
Basically I want to have the pixels coming from that map unchanged after rendered.

I'm using a CoronaLightMtl, which seems to clamp the colors making it planer (washed out).

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

can you post the textures you are using and your current rendered results?

Just re-read your post. Is this what you are looking for?

so the fire looks consistent between exposures.

If that is the case here is the material I used.

just use a corona output map on your fire texture in the light slot and the regular texture in the opacity slot.

The corona output map when unchecked only works when you re-render the image you cant change the exposure after render and have it work correctly.

*edit: or alternatively instead of shifting exposure at all, you can control all the exposure of your lights with light map and light select elements while keeping your fire at the same level.

@OP, I think what mferster wrote is the answer here, and if not, then we will need a photo reference, and the result you are getting.
