Hi There,

Total Newbie to Corona here! Just recently spent a fortune on VRay before realising that Corona is wayyy nicer!! Oh well, live and learn!

I have a Mac pro as my main machine and a PC as a team render client. I've tried to install corona on the PC but I get a few errors with msu files... Anyway, I unpacked the files from the installer and put the R18 plugins into the Team Render plugins folder on the windows machine. However its not working as the console says corona plugin is missing??
The PC is visible from the mac and normal TR works fine.
Any ideas? Is it even possible at the moment?

Many thanks

Edit: This is now redundant as I've ditched the PC and am using another mac as render node.

I would like to hear about your experience using the Macs for rendering. I think about using my RMBPro and a render node. I have the feeling that my Macbook is pretty decent for modeling even bigger scenes. But I would like to know if there is a way to not only render but also work with a render node or the power of another system. But I guess it's only possible to render.

The official info confirmed by our magnificent developers is that:
-you can use Team Render cross-system (between Mac and Windows PCs)
-Team Render should work fine on Mac
-Team Render may have some flaws on Windows, and fixes are planned

If you need some further help (e.g. how to set it up) we will do our best to help.

Team Render and Corona's DR can be used only to speed up rendering using other PCs' computing power. Not for any other tasks.

Thanks, maru!
You guys rock. I hope all this hard work pays off for you. :-)

Sound's really nice to me. Maybe I don't need a powerfull PC after all and can rely on my beloved Mac.

Haha I'm right there with ya. I really don't want to ditch my MacBook Pro because I've got everything on it and it works just fine. However, thinking about building a PC used just as a render node.
