Hello again guys,
I am on the final step before the purchase so I need some advices.

KEEP IN MIND THIS WILL BE A MAIN WORKSTATION AND NO RENDER NODE

My rig selection so far. Linkhttps://www.mindfactory.de/shopping_cart.php/basket_action/load_basket_extern/id/83b3a7221708df334d463a4a60dd50854e246d9d91617253f59

CPU will be from ebay Xeon 2696 v3,OEM: http://www.ebay.com/itm/401273513368

Here comes the first question, at first I will be using the dual cpu mobo with one CPU since I dont have that much cash.As i read it will be no problem right? Also anyone have experience with OEM proccessors? Its turbo max will be fine?

Thank for the help in advance :)

The Turbo Stepping could be a bit lower on OEM-CPU's, but it shouldn't pose a problem.

From the looks of it it can do 3.8GHz when using 1-2 cores, and 2.8GHz when using all cores. So it's good, no lower speed like early ES cpus.
Other parts look good except maybe the memory. Only buy it in 8Gb sticks if you're absolutely sure you'll never need more than 64Gb. So getting a 32Gb kit with 2x16Gb sticks is more futureproof. Quad or dual channel doesn't really matter to rendering, so you can add more memory as you go.
Good system overall. Should be nice to use even with single cpu ;)

I'm letting loose the questionnaire cavalry... Does anyone know the turbo bins for this particular CPU?

Re the RAM, when I bought my last workstation I was told I had to fill all the slots for it to work properly. So I went for the 8x8GB instead of the 4x16GB which was the same price. Im cursing it now as I want 128GB so I will have to take out the 64GB and buy a new set of 128GB which is crap.

Awesome CPU. Im getting itchy fingers again!
