Hello guys!

This time I would like to present you a first exterior job made in Corona 1.5. Basically it was prepared in V-Ray,
but it never came to an end. So it was a pretty nice occasion to test around without starting from scratches :)

As you can see, building itself is quite simple and it's an extension for existing house located in the second plan.
After preparing the whole lighting setup, material tweaking and the other stuff it turned out that it is kind of dull.
I've decided to put some decorative bulbs above the entrance and the 2nd terrace to play a little with the light.

In this case a Light Mix feature helped a lot with different scenarios and mixing with temperatures and intensities.

Hope you like it!

amazing work man.

Is there a chance you can show me the light bulb material setup ? Did you appy a corona light mtl on that light bulb and put an extra corona light inside or what?

Can you please share the print screen or something :) Thank you very much man. :)

Thanks a lot Romas! I'm very glad you like it :) The bulb material attached to the bulb filament is as you predict a Corona Light Material with emission enabled.
Pretty simple. Just the Corona Color as a texmap with Kelvin set up and falloff map linked to the opacity slot. However, intensity is high for the stronger effect.
And there is no additional lights attached to it.

I would suggest disabling "emit light" option, unless it is absolutely necessary. If you would then need illumination from those bulbs, you could use invisible Corona Lights placed close to the bulbs. Complex meshes with LightMtl can greatly slow down rendering, and are also "stealing" samples from other lights.

My favourite shot is the one with bulbs closeup. Amazing project!

Do you by any chance have some other lighting variants made with LightMix? It could be interesting to see. :)

Thanks Maru! I wouldn't expect that it could affect such things to be honest. I didn't noticed the slowing down but I'll keep your suggestion!
I'm really glad that you like it:) No problem. I've added an additional image with the Light Mix in the first post: wanted to compose it a little ;)

Hey that's really awesome and unobvious way of using the LightMix!
Also if it renders fine, then there is no need to optimize. But some people are crazy about it, and it is also good to know such workflows. ;)

Maru, thanks so much for such kind words! I really appreciated it :) I didn't know that's an unobvious way of using it, heheh.
Oh, and another 'plus' for the Light Mat with emission is possibility to link it to the Light Mix Pass for further testing and fun :)

I'll try it out with another project because it's very interesting. Or maybe I'll make a test with this scene to check how it works.

In some cases noise can looks slightly better than perfectly smoothed diamond. Especially when time is priceless ;)
