Hi Everyone,

I'm new on this forum and just started to experiment with Corona C4D plugin.

I have this simple exterior scene where I wanted to find the right exposure and Postprocess settings. When I use LUT and the contrast is just right for the Sky, my house gets almost black on the exterior. I want to show the material on the facade and do not overexpose the interior at the same time.
Any recommendation for the Postprocess settings to create such a HDR image?

After manipulating the image in photoshop, I get to this slightly better result (the brighter image)
I will fix the repetitive texture for the final image, so please ignore it for now. I'm using variation shader for these and which might not be converted correctly, I will have to check.

Cheers,

There are many ways to do this:
-You can either lower highlights (e.g. by using highlight compression) or boost shadows
-You can use Corona Output shader to exclude the background image from Corona color mapping
-You can use different image for scene lighting, and different one visible directly
-You can swap the background in PS

To add to what's already said by maru, you can save your render to linear HDR format and do tonemapping externally.

Thank you for the suggestions!

I've ended up saving out in .exr format and adjusting it a little bit in PS.
I tried to control it within the Corona Postprocess settings by the highlight compression but it made the sky even brighter.
