Hi guys.

I am testing the Corona for exteriors and I am pretty impressed with it.

Here are some of my recent test with Day, Evening, Night and Overcast mood.

What do you think about it ?

Best regards Pete,

looks really great man. :)

did you use corona sun or an HDRI map?

If you were using an hdri map where did you put it in? Was it maxbitmap or coronabitmap or Vray HDRI?

Thanks

@RomasNoreika

Thank you for your comment.

I used VrayHDRI and I put it in Scene Environment "Use Corona" slot in Render settings.

It was easier for me to control the HDR with VrayHDRI.

Why exactly? Do you mean controlling the position, or some image adjustments?

When using VrayHDRI you will sooner or later end up with some problem. For example it is 100% confirmed that it is flickering, even when using only PT+PT. While this may not be very apparent in static images (only some splotches here and there), it will be definitely visible in an animation. And it might be hard to tell where the problem comes from. :)

Yeah I think corona bitmap should have degrees for rotation as well. Because it is useful.

corona bitmap has only U:V and the numbers that you pull up from 0 to 1,10,20 makes no sense. Or maybe there is an explanation for that.

Would be nice to have from 0 to 360 degrees.

I decided to use VrayHDRI because there is easier sun rotation control and gamma setup.

Rotating sun with 0-360* solution is easier.

I have to try HDRI lightning with Corona bitmap.
