I was rendering an extremely simple scene with some test geometry. Everything was going perfectly fine, and I added an additional geometry and now the file is permanently wrecked.

See attached for the normal image and one with black artifacts, as well as the Max file.

I'm using DB Dec 13th 2016 and Max Design 2014. I have never had this issue before.

I decided to do a test on a new scene, with default render settings, and the issue appears to be with Corona, not my scene. See "box-same_error". I'm on my work machine and don't have admin privileges so I can test rolling back to an older build until tomorrow morning. Has anyone seen this problem before?

** Update: This only happens in orthographic mode. Which I've always had issues seeing things in interactive while using an ortho view, so this is nothing new. But a bug none the less

How far away are your objects from the world origin (0,0,0 point)?
What kind of object did you add when this started appearing? Was it huge? Did it change world/system units when you loaded it?
What units are you using in your scene?

+ Does this problem persist when switching to perspective view? (or Camera with "normal" FOV).

The object is was within a few feet of the origin.
What kind of object did you add when this started appearing? Was it huge? Did it change world/system units when you loaded it?
I added only a box. The creation of this may have been coincidental with using the orthographic view. I didn't merge or import any objects and I didn't touch the units.
What units are you using in your scene?
Feet with decimal inches.

Sorry I've been busy with a deadline. I have had had problems with proper shading in orthographic mode before. I assumed the renderer just doesn't play nice with that view type. Once I move back to perspective or a physical camera everything works as I expect it to. It's not a big issue for me but hopefully this bug report is helpful to the team.

I have tried to reproduce the bug using the supplied scene and failed to do so (in Corona 1.5.2 and in the latest daily build).
I was testing this in Max 2016/2017, but that should hopefully not have any effect.
Could you please sent me the box scene as well? (I have tried to recreate it, but again no bug appeared)
