Hi Guys

We predominantly model our designs in sketchup of which I do the following to get it Max ready

• Everything that has a similar texture I make a component as it makes selection in Max a breeze
• I also save it out in Skp ver. 8 for compatibility

Unfortunately there is still a fair amount of broken geometry and weird looking faces as such
I was hoping people could add to this post with advice as to their skp - Max workflow

When i import from sketchup to 3ds max i solve the problem by making group everything that has the same texture a group, also be sure that all faces are from the white side and not the blue side of faces. Let me know if this helps.

export in .3ds from ketchup works fine for me.
