First thing I see is that plate and something on it not sure what it is but doesn't look like food.  Seems a little weird to have in this scene.  I mean you have an audio product on a console hall table, some books stacked, then.... food? 

So out of place.

Everything else looks good though.

Yes you are right, it lacks logic, but I have tried to replicate everyday chaos in a living room.

Sound system , lot of books on architecture and Éclair in the plate.

The quality is good, but I agree with the others. That half eaten cake is so weird. It draws the focus away from the main object. I'd definitely remove it. I wouldn't replace it with anything either. Let the speaker or what ever that thing is, stand out ;)
