I had a conversation with Svetlin Nikolov, Lead Phoenix FD developer based on this chaosgroup forum link:

just need to implement some 3dsmax SDK callbacks into corona.

They have to implement some standard 3ds max callbacks that are currently not okay.

 they are 3dsmax SDK specifics. If you bump the guys so that they know there is demand for Phoenix rendering, I'm sure they will be able to find the conversation we've had, or otherwise, you can refer them to me.

As he wrote in the 1st post, it's just him and "all his friends".

3 accounts with very few posts posting in span of 15 minutes. IPs check - it is all guest_guest. Banned all accounts. Be on lookout for new users shitposting. Guest_guest can change his IP, but cannot mask his stupidity. We can always tell its him in 2-3 posts ;)

I'm not one of his "friends", but as a PhoenixFD user, having the ability to render it in an engine other than Vray would be amazing. As i mentioned in a previous post, since Corona doesn't support volumetrics like VDB etc. if at least it could support PhoenixFD rendering it would be a huge step forward :)
