Not sure which tutorial you are referring too - a quick Google turns up this likely candidate, a forum post from Juraj Talcik, featuring a Parisian apartment with some commentary on how it was put together:

We are using Corona more for Exterior Commercial/Residential Home renderings but have some clients requesting interior renderings as well.
