Hi guys, I am not sure if this problem has been already posted.
Using DR via Backburner the machine that pick up the job does't show in VBF the noise level, some time is set to 0% and same time is just N/D.
Another issue in the VFB is about the passes, they are not listed, every matching show just X update and 0 passes even if the machine are actually rendering fine.

Any idea?

Thanks!

Can confirm. It seems to happen with dailies scenes (or any old scene?). Very nice if you have noise as stop condition and 0 passes + no time limit: Render one frame forever.

Initializing the noise value with "0.0%" is a (small) bug anyway (should be "N/A").

But the bug you describe has nothing to do with BB or DR as far as I tested. Happens exactly right now without BB or DR. I already have tried to reset settings to no avail. My renderstamp reports btw. some diabolic number for %pe (noise level) which is exactly 922337217429372928.0 %

Glad it doesn't happen only for me. Happens with or without BB, relying on noise level is not possible this way.

My guess is that it's because adaptivity does not work with DR, so noise limit may be misbehaving.

Wait, so adaptivity is completely disabled when using DR? Or does it mean that results from DR won't be factored into noise level recalc but adaptivity still works on the main machine...?

Maru, this happens also not using DR. Pokoy, adaptivity is only activated on the master. I think/hope/guess/presume the new DR code will handle this differtently (hopefully).

Crap, this explains why I'm getting excessive noise in a project right now. Thanks for the info.

And, if I use BB (so the frame is rendered by only one machine) everything is ok.
Only with DR.
If we disable the adaptivity, there isn't any Noise level to calculate, obviously.
About noise olny on the master, it will be fixed in the 1.6, if I remember correctly.

DR has been reworked for 1.6, now the adaptivity works properly on DR slaves. If you find any bugs in the new DR, please create a new bug report.
