Hi, guys!

Long time no post, but I'll get right to it.
I'm rendering some VR stuff of a scene I created from scratch and I'm getting some weird reflections of my roller blind behind a sauna/shower glass (marked on the right side, see files below!). I'm on Corona 1.5 and I've not seen this problem before on 1.4. Two things that have changed are:
I've updated to Corona 1.5 AND I'm rendering a stereo equirectangular (only providing the top half below, both halves exhibit the same problem).

Any ideas?

Moving to bug reports, looks like a UHDcache issue to me.
Any sufficiently advanced bug is indistinguishable from a feature.

Hej Rimas,

I think what you see are shadows from the sunlight, not reflections (casted by wall and window frame).
This look´s natural to me :)

Oh, ok...I thought you had some blinds there.
If it´s a window plane like the beneath part, something´s wrong.

all the best

Do you mean the "splotches"? Indeed looks like UHD Cache problem. Are you using translucency for the blinds, or something else?

Yes, translucency :)

And yeah, I meant the splotches. I should have really marked the blinds in green and the splotches in red on the first image... I'll update it for future reference.

So is this a bug with no fix then?

We will need to reproduce this and then see how long it will take to fix. Unfortunately not every bug can be fixed within a couple of days. ;)

Oh, well I wasn't expecting a new bug-fixed build or anything, just wondering if anyone's got a "fix" in their mind (a workaround, maybe someone's had this before) :)

I'm getting this in my other scenes now too :(
Any ways to work around it? You said it's probably an UHD cache issue. Shall I try the old HD cache? Or Just plain pathtracing? Maybe increasing the Cache accuracy will help..

Does it go away with the "animation" UHD cache preset? Can I get the scene?

I'll try the animation one. I'll have to ask about the scene though, it's for a client. And it's a full house inside and out. Might be able to stript it and just send you the shell with the blind, mirror and the window and the sun - that should be enough to recreate the problem

Ok, so the splotches are still there, but they're finer now with the animation preset. Cache accuracy is still the same at 3.

Here's my material setup for the blind, nothing fancy at all!

ok, I would be really interested in the scene (can be just the walls, mirror, and window ;))

The material is very very simple tho':

Where do I send the scene?
