This is my first post.  I couldn't find this on google or a quick glance of the forums.

Help!  I just tried switching to Corona and I have something due Friday haha.

The problem is, I have render set to view, and no matter what camera I switch to, or what perspective I am at, it always renders looking down at the floor of my bridge!  At a part that was definitely meant to be off camera and not seen by anyone lol. I tried starting a completely new file and importing all of my objects, and the same thing happened.  The file used to render the view fine.

At first I had a rendering error that said
"Windows enabled 'Fault Tolerant Heap' for 3dsmax or dependent processes. This may have severe performance impact on Corona. Please follow the link to learn how to solve the problem."  However, I followed the below link, deleted registry files as it said, and restarted the software.  It didn't fix the problem.

Right before this I had tried to import some free trees from a max file that did not show up...just showed as boxes that said geometry reference or something like that.  Is there any sort of helper object or anything that overrides render views I may have imported?  The only other thing I can think of that I did is change the HDRI environment map.  Please let me know if you have a solution.

Thank You!

Wow haha...I figured it out.  While I have been only using one perspective viewport from start to finish, apparently there were other invisible viewports created, and one of them somehow got selected as the render view.  I feel dumb.  I think it was the scary "Fault Tolerant Heap" error message which happened at the same time and threw me off. Carry on :D.  Although I WOULD be interested in knowing what kind of "severe performance impact" Corona meant from fault tolerant heap, as the error keeps happening when I restart/update.  Deleted registry files and all.

Thanks

Hi, so the problem was that little "lock" icon next to render settings? It sometimes gets really annoying. :)

As to FTH problems - please see: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000678431
Currently the best solution is disabling this thing completely.

It's annoying only in max2016 where lock in VFB won't sync with lock in render settings (among countless other things that's broken in this max version, which worked flawlesly before), otherwise it's a feature without which work in 3ds max would be much frustrating.
