Hi all,

I'm experiencing some issues with the displacement. Something happens on the edges of the camera FOV basically. Attached you can see the problem. I'm using the latest daily build, and the displacement map is a vector map : PhoenixFDOceanTex -> Vector Displacement (Max's map) which is set to world. Any ideea why this happens? I haven't reverted back to 1.4, because the 1.5 built seems to be much faster while calculating displacement so I don't know if it is a general problem, or a daily build one.

Thanks!

That's likely camerra culling problem. Can you test if it's happening with specific camera or with every one, can you replace vector map with bitmap or procedural map and see if problem goes away, can you test it with 1.4 release?

It happens with all the cameras, the closer it gets to the surface the more culling happens. I will try with a procedural noise map to see what happens and with 1.4.

Also you could try to render from perspective or from different class camera, i.e. standard instead of physical or vray.
