Hi All,

I hope you are well.

I wrote a tutorial on how to model a Boeing 777 interior and render it in Corona.
You can read it at http://www.arteconi-cgi.com/blog/

I hope you like it.

Regards,

Giacomo.

Beautiful depiction of our future.
Design- I've got a problem with the magazine storage. It's just a detail, yet.

The renderings are quite nice. Better than the real thing :) which is something maybe you don't want if you need the pictures to look 100 % real.
And the fact that the planes interiors have so many details - makes for a nice scene to render / or photograph.

here on the pillow shadow maybe you have the "famous" shadow terminator bug. But that is something minor.

Beautiful depiction of our future.

What future ? Isn't this how the current plane interior looks ?

Hi All,

Thanks for the appreciation.

Noah, the aircraft in the render is vaguely inspired by the Boeing 777 already in use commercially by Air France. Just inspired though.

Sebastian__ I think you got a point, might be the shadow termination bug but didn't bother me too much and I left it.

Ondra The future you forecast looks like the future of Ryanair?

Regards,

Giacomo.

plastic material could use some work, never seen anything like this IRL - overhead luggage boxes look almost SSS to me

Hey Davide, hallo!

Guys thanks for the comments.

Yes, the plastic material is just a basic shader with some glossy reflection. Nothing very elaborate.

Regards,

Giacomo.

This is so f****** cool :- )

Not gonna nit-pick because I really like it, and it's quite complex.

The blue fabric is only bump/normal map ? Sucks that terminator issue destroys the pillow.

Hi Juraj,

Thanks for the compliments. I was reading your posts on the PBR shader this morning, great stuff.

The seating model is from Turbosquid. I have bought it more than one year ago and redone the shading in vray. If I'm correct it's a texture downloaded from CGTextures.
I just made it tileable and derived a normal map out of it. I think I have used a falloff map set to fresnel on the diffuse slot to blend it with a brighter version of it.
For this job, it's just a straight conversion to Corona.

The termination issue is there. This project together with the tutorial took me a good amount of extra time so I had to decide to call it finished although I don't think so...
I spot it only when I have rendered it in high-res. I will give it another go when I have the time maybe.

Regards,

Giacomo.
