I started getting an error message yesterday when starting up max, and after a lengthy Google session trying to figure out the problem, I just ended up re-installing max (full clean removal of all files and registry entries), which fixed the problem. However after I re-installed Corona, it returned....
This error only occurs with the Corona plugin installed. Whats weird is Corona and max have been working 100% for the past month. This just started yesterday.
I haven't done any updates whatsoever, I have been using the Corona A5 standard install from the website. No daily builds.
Any ideas?

Here's a screenshot of the error message when trying to open max.

And here's a screen shot after clicking OK and getting into max.

Maybe damaged files? Have you recently experienced any hard resets or disk errors?

Yeah clean install of MAX. I don't use any other plugins at all. What I did manage to figure out though, all the mentalray dll's it was looking for, were in the nvidia folder in the max install directory. I removed the nVidia folder completely and deleted the default mental ray plugin from max. Also I moved the "Autodesk.Max.Wrappers.dll" file from the bin folder into the stdplugs folder as recommended to me on the autodesk forums. Seem's to be fine now, however i'm getting some AnchorHelperObject missing dll error when I load up my scene. Still trying to figure that one out.
It renders fine though.

Here a screeny:

This does not seem to be related to Corona.... Looks more like corrupted installation.

Ok. I did another full uninstall of MAX. I also downloaded and ran a microsoft install/uninstall fix tool to resolve any files and registry settings that relate to any programs that had uninstall or install problems. It had 3DS max on the list, so I selected it and ran the auto repair. After now re-installing MAX and Corona, all errors have disappeared :)
Rawa, you were obviously right about the corrupt installation. Wish I knew how it happened though...
Anyhoo, apologies for the false bug report. All is well :)
