That's really pleasant to look at. For some reason I like the 1st image more, although the angle/framing could be different. I think a perfectly leveled, straight archviz shot would work great here.

I am very happy that you find that images are pleasant.
I tried to make the first image with straight vertical lines but in this case the result was not convincing enough for too much "distortion" perspective.
I tried to change the point of view but I was losing the balance of the composition was looking for.
If I will find the time I still have to redo it following your advice.

In short 2 the pictures on the wall is hang strangely low on waist level of human growth and kitchen heights belt :)

even for me, light is one lifte most critical aspects ...
I used an HDRI for general lighting, then VFB+ to fix contrasts, colors, bloom and glare.
