Hello,

I know, I know.. we must to use only CoronaBitmap.
But, it's so strange and frustrating...
sometime, randomly, when I delete used textures or Cut/Paste from Win directory = 3ds Max cash
Isn't there something that you can do?
With MR, VRay we never had this problem...

Do you mean max crashing when texture file is deleted that is loaded in CoronaBitmap or native bitmap? If latter, then it's well known and been reported numerous times already. I think it was one of the reasons why CoronaBitmap was introduced in the first place.

With 3ds Max Bitmap.
Yes, I know... but, often, we have some models from clients, or imported from old projects, in our library not converted etc...
So, sometime, we forgot to convert Bitmap to CoronaBitmap and... you know what it can happen.
Not only when I work in PS with an used texture... It's enough  to delete or move some textures from one folder to another folder, make 3ds Max crash!
It's so frustrating =(  In VRay, MR etc... we never had this problem...  Why in Corona?

I know it's frustrating, especially when CoronaBitmap doesn't support PSD files and you need to edit those... Let's hope it will be fixed someday.

Anyway, moving this to resolved, as there's another active report already: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,7517.0.html

It is because Corona does not lock 3ds Max during rendering. If you do not use interactive and lock 3dsmax during rendering (there is a checkbox for it), you will no longer get any crashes... But i would like to try one day again to solve the original issue. But 3dsmax is not making it easy for me...
Rendering is magic. How to get minidumps for crashed/frozen 3ds Max | Sorry for short replies, brief responses = more time to develop Corona ;)

But 3dsmax is not making it easy for me...

It´s worth all the effort, it´s such a fantastic feature.

Thanks for that!

Never underestimate the power of a well placed level one spell.

Strangely enough i can't get it to crash anymore. I tried to delete, rename and change bitmap in external app, but Corona happily renders in IR mode and doesn't crash. When i renamed file, max frequently freezes for few seconds, but doesn't crash and returns to normal behaviour as soon as i rename file back. I recently reinstalled OS, changed max from 2014 to 2016 and from photoshop to krita, updated Corona to latest build. Don't know what's helped, but so far so good. Very happy indeed.

Yes, there are fixes regarding this now. It should never crash. In worst case rendering should be stopped, but always with a popup message.
