Hi,

I would to request a dedicated hair & fur shader that has all the parameters or similar to the hair&fur modifier roll out. Especially control for the tip & root hair would be nice. Thanks!

Quick workaround:
Use custom geometry as your hair. Assign a custom material.

Thanks for the quick reply! This is really great news! I've tried converting hair to custom geo and it works, but if you have over 20000 hair strands converted to splines 3dsmax starts to work extremely sluggish.
