Is it possible to get object rendered that are behind any transparent material like glass in "Viewport selection" render selected mode?

lets say I have a glass railing and behind it I have a chair partially visible so if I select chair and render through the viewport selection mode I do not get the chair selection where the glass is overlapping it. is there any way I can do this in current 1.3 release?

Many thanks.

no, but you can do it in 1.4 (including release candidates) by unchecking "visible in masks" in the glass material
