I haven't tried it yet, but my work just ordered it. It does have some advantages over the Corona converter when it comes to converting Autodesk Material Library stuff to Corona, and it also can convert Corona mats to other engines and to Standard materials.

Regarding converting Vray to Corona, DeadClown (the maker of Corona converter) is credited, but I don't think UMC is better than Corona converter here.

Hope I'll find time next week to check it out.

I haven't tried it myself (it's not free, so I probably won't ;) ), but if you are converting Autodesk Materials you're very likely better served with the umc - I haven't put too much time into it for the Corona converter.
Apart from that, the Corona Converter has been developed since 2012 and is continuously updated. It's specifically built for the best results in Corona. The umc developer however has to support lots of other materials and conversion rules, so I would just guess that the corona converter is a bit superior since it has a very specific target.

Yes, I helped them with the glossiness conversion curves - so this part is probably identical in both converters ;)

any tips to get exact same result as vray shader for native converter? because when i convert something i get unrealistic reflections ex.. and have to waste a lot of time to tweak all the materials.

More info (examples, pictures, a max file) would be required to say anything about it. Basically there's nothing one could do wrong, just use the latest version and press the big button.

scene rendered with vray 3.20 and corona 1.3 after converted with converter 1.26. rest settings are exactly same. there is huge defferences between to renders as you can see. is that best shot of converter or something wronge with my converter settings?

Could have several different causes:
1) Lighting is different. Vray seems to be overall darker, maybe due to GI settings/light settings or a different exposure in used environment map
2) Original vray material used some map type that is not converted to corona
3) some non-trivial way how several materials are combined in vray that cannot be converted automatically to corona
4) etc ...

What do you have to change to make it look like in vray?

I would have to check the scene to say more.

The results are usually quite similar before/after. There are some renderings of people in the big converter thread which came out nearly identical. So the difference here is not normal.
