Hi all!

Whenever i use DR with Corona, after 20-30 passes a dark band occur in VFB and within seconds, number of passes jumps to 300- 400. The dark band never goes away until i disable DR. There are no Corona error messages either.
It happens regardless of number of computers Corona DR server is running on. All the maps are in network shared mapped drive and all plugins used in the scene are available on all computers. I am using Corona 1.3.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Sumeet Gupta

You could always try collpasing everything to an editable poly to check wether or not that get's rid of the banding. Just in case.

Unfortunately, i can't collapse everything to editable poly as the scene is quite big and has lots of instanced geometry. Any other suggestions ? Thanks,.

Hi, which version of Corona, 3ds Max and DRserver is this?
Are you using any additional plugins? Vray? Vray camera used?

Any other suggestions ?

1. I presume you know this one https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/folders/12000000629 ?

2.  Does this happen with every scene or only with this particular one? (You wrote "Whenever I useDR (...)")

3. Have you looked at your log files? (drServer/drdata directory). If not: could you do a test Dr rendering and look at the last few lines (or better: delete the logs in the first place, do your rendering until it fails/ends, zip them and attach them :)

4. Is there a max file called received_scene_[some number].max created in the drData directory of a slave when you start DRing?

5. Have you tried DR with deactivated firewall(s)/antivir programms (if any)?

6. That WX-Error: You get this on the master pc? Looks for me like: no more ram left, some error message is about to be prepared but something prevents access to the computers correct date/time. Your date/time is set correctly on all nodes?

Just a few questions where the answers may help. You have really never been able to use DR in the past?

Good Luck

There was a recent Siger plugins update. Please update them. They are known to cause many strange problems, including problems with DR.

Hi,
I have the same problem, I have test all the solution but always the same error message :(
This is a simple test scene with only one HDRI map but I have dark strip on my render.
If someone can help me, I would appreciate it :)

Your problem is clearly printed in the Error Messages Window! Go to the 192.168.1.153 node, login and try to access \\Desktop-ttvpk1d\-ressources-3d-\

what happens?

Good Luck

Yes - the node cannot reach the HDR for some reason. It is very hard to guess why this happens though.
If you are running DrServer as admin, network drives might disappear - https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/12000002048

He is accessing the image via UNC. Only the output points to a drive letter.

Thanks for your response, sadly I have try all your methods but doesn't work.
Do you think it's because I use a VrayHDRI map for my lighning ?

It could be. It should be easy to check that. Just remove the map or replace it with a bitmap/Corona bitmap...

I've tried merging the entire scene in a new file. DR works somehow but I still get WxWidget Debug alert error. Any update on this ?
Thanks.
